Springing Horse of Bruniquel

Price: $45.00
A replica of the famous "Springing Horse" of Bruniquel, France.  It dates to the Magdalenian Period(12 to 17,000 BP) of the Upper Paleolithic in Europe, and is believed to be one of the worlds first spear thrower parts.  It is not only part of a probably functional weapon, but is considered a great piece of art for the period as well.  The original carving of the horse was done in reindeer antler with flint burins(chisels) and shows action with the horses legs held in for its jump.  The replica is about 11 inches long, and is made in modern high strength epoxy for durability.
