Redstone Point Cast

Price: $25.00
A cast of a Redstone projectile point. A north American Paleoindian point dating around 10,000 years ago along the Eastern United States.  Molded and cast from the authentic original, found in Alabama.  Redstones were named after the Redstone Arsenal in Madison County, Al.  The range is not much larger than the Tennessee and Alabama area, with man resharpened Clovis points being mistaken for true Redstones.  This fine example measures 2 and 1/4 inches long and 1 and 1/16th wide and is believed to be made of Dover chert.  The original was brought into the Smithsonian's Paleoindian lab to be examined there, and found to be a great authentic example of the type, where the first cast remains today in the collections for reference.  (COA Stermer 2009) ex.
