Hell Gap Point Cast

Price: $22.00
This wonderful example of a Hell Gap spear point was sent to Occpaleo for casting in 2011. (COA Rogers)  Hell Gap points are found in the Wyoming area, and date to around 9 to 10,000 years ago.  They are found associated with bison hunting, and appear to be related to the similar Agate Basin points of the area.  The name comes from the Hell Gap site in Wyoming, excavated by archaeologist George Frison.  This piece measures 3 and 1/8th inches long and 1 and 1/4 inches wide, and shows the classic heavy basal grinding and paleo flaking style of the type.
