Etley Point Cast
Etley Point Cast
Price:
$25.00
Quantity:
This cast was molded from an authentic original which is now in the Pailler collection in Ohio. It represents a large and classic example of the type, measuring 6 and 3/8th inches long and 1 and 3/4ths wide at the middle. It is extremely well flaked in great quality Burlington chert, from Osage Co, MO.
Etley points are usually found in the American mid-west, near the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. The origin of the name Etley is from the "Ottle" farm in Calhoun County, Illinois where they were first typed. These points are from the Archaic Period, and usually date around 4,000 to 2,500 B.C.
