Dickson Point Cast

This great example of a Dickson point was just moled and cast from the authentic original in 2011.  Dicksons date to the Early Woodland(around 2,100 to 2,500 years ago) and are found in the area around Illinois and Missouri.  Our new example measures 99mm long and 40mm wide and it was made in a banded white chert.  This particular point was found in Independence County, Arkansas, and is wide and thin for the type.  (COA Stermer, Western Typology 2008)
